Balcarras Academy Trust identified the need to provide temporary accommodation at their current facility to accommodate an additional 120 students as part of the 2021/22-year intake.

Due to the timing requirements, it was agreed that a modular facility would be provided comprising of four classrooms, staff offices, storage, welfare and kitchen facilities.
Evans Jones were engaged by Balcarras to obtain planning consent for the facility, ensure that overall expenditure on the project was value for money and oversee the build process. We liaised with the contractors to ensure the facility was fit for purpose and provided cost plans and monthly progress reports to the client throughout.
The Results:
Despite extremely tight timescales of 5-6 months from planning consent to delivery, the project was completed in time for the Balcarras Academy Trust to undertake their own fitting out works. This enabled occupation of the facilities by the students for the new term in September 2021.
