As the government look to the construction industry to drive our recovery out of the COVID-19 crisis, we look at the government's promise to ‘build back better, build back greener and build back faster’.

We look at the radical reforms to the planning system which underpin the plans, as well as inviting special guests, GFirst LEP and Gloucestershire College to give an overview of the infrastructure projects which have been given the go ahead to drive the economy for growth.

3. GFirst LEP - Shovel, ready, go

Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership, GFirst LEP, has successfully bid for £11.3 million of funding from the Government's £900m nationwide 'Getting Building Fund'. Dev Chakraborty, Deputy CEO, GFirst LEP gives an overview of the five key infrastructure projects that will receive funding.

4. Gloucestershire College - Cyber Innovation Centre

Gloucestershire College have been awarded almost £1 million to invest in a brand new flexible workspace designed to develop the technologies of the future. Alison Townsend explains the role of the College firmly at the hub of Cheltenham as the cyber-capital of the UK.
