The Gloucestershire Property Forum

With the Renter's Rights Bill set to become law later this year, we look at the current status of the private rental market and the road ahead for the sector.

We bring together housing experts and legal/finance professionals to unpack this landmark piece of legislation and assess the impact on landlords and investors.

Will it cause the exit/diversification of many from the rental arena or will it welcome the 'professional landlord' and weed out the unscrupulous few that give the sector a bad name?

Our panel of experts provide practical advice and solutions to ensure that private rental remains a viable and attractive investment.

Special Guest:

Eddie Hughes, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Rough Sleeping and Housing at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities - 2021-2022.

As a Conservative politician, Eddie served under Boris Johnson and was responsible for introducing the White Paper - A Fairer Private Rented Sector - in June 2022, and worked closely with representatives on both sides of the discussions, for and against the proposed reforms.

He brings invaluable insight from his time in Westminster and knowledge and background in the housing and rental sector.

The event is sponsored by Willans Solicitors, Hazlewoods and Move Sales and Lettings and we are joined on the panel by:

Kim Opszala, KoMo Properties
George Tatham-Losh, Move Sales & Lettings
Nick Southwell, Willans Solicitors
