Evans Jones were appointed to carry out Disabled Access Audits of 30 individual Transport for London (TFL) properties across the region.
The brief was to provide outline summaries of each site assessing the accessibility to disabled users and to advise on any works required to bring the properties up to best practice standards and in line with TFL's own equality policy.
Due to TFL's commitment to provide a high level of accessibility across their sites, we recommended some extensive works and were able to cost all of this in-house with our team of Quantity Surveyors.
Because of the sheer number of properties involved, it was important to deliver a consistent approach which we achieved by using our small team of trained auditors.
We devised a bespoke report format with priority ratings and costs to set out clear recommendations. This enabled TFL to prioirtise and budget for necessary works accordingly.
