Vacancy - Senior Building Surveyor

The Job

Initially, it is envisaged that the candidate will focus on project work, ranging from small refurbishments up to large scale conversion and extension projects (Est £50,000 - £3million). There are excellent long term prospects for the right candidate.

Roles will vary from traditional Contract Administration to Employers Agent and Project Monitoring. In addition, the role will also involve Pre-acquisition surveys, Dilapidations, Party wall consultancy, Access Audits and Fire Reinstatement Valuations.

The candidate must be client-facing, with good communication skills, be IT literate and be able to ‘hit the ground running’ with minimal supervision.

Experience in the Education Sector working on fast track projects would be of benefit, but is not essential.

The candidate will report directly to the Director in Charge of Building Consultancy.

We expect all of our Building Surveyors to be flexible and able to adapt to a varied workload.

Experience

The role is aimed at a Chartered Building Surveyor with good project experience, as outlined above.

Key skills

Flexible and self-motivated. Good building construction and pathology knowledge. Great report writing skills. IT literate, with ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Word essential.
