Evans Jones now has a fantastic opportunity for a Planning Graduate to join their diverse planning practice based in Gloucestershire.
Established in 1972, the practice provides services to the Commercial and Residential Property sectors across the whole of the UK.
The Role
The successful candidate will be based in our Cheltenham office and play a key role in preparing and assisting with planning applications, appraisals, and appeal work to support the delivery of new residential and commercial developments. There will be the chance to work on a wide range of developments across the sector for both public and private sector clients. The position would suit a new graduate or someone with one to two years post-qualification experience.
The exact details of the role and responsibilities will be flexible and dependent on the experience of the applicant, but may be expected to include the following:
- Preparing and assisting with Planning Applications;
- Preparing and assisting with feasibility studies;
- Public consultations;
- Planning policy and reviewing post submission work including public inquiries and expert witness work.
- Preparing and assisting with proposals and tenders for new work;
- Assisting with business development, client contact, market research and attending client meetings.
Key Competencies
Qualifications:
First degree or MSc in Town Planning, sufficient to meet the academic requirements for full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Skills:
Understanding of the English planning system and its application. A real interest in planning and inquisitive mind
Experience:
Would suit newly qualified graduate through to individual with around 1 - 2 years relevant work experience.
Personal Qualities:
Full UK driving licence, able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
