Project Overview:

Our Disabled Access team carried out audits across 45 sites on a variety of different types of buildings including hospitals, healthcare centres, clinics, surgeries and office buildings with stock ranging from brand new to 150 year old Listed Buildings.

Challenges:

The main challenge was to deliver audits of 45 disparate sites over a 10 week program whilst maintaining consistency of results.We also had to work around a live hospital environment which posed significant challenges to the program at times particularly where COVID and safeguarding restrictions were in place. A number of the properties were also Listed Buildings which meant achieving access for all patients required a flexible approach.

The Results:

In terms of program our experience of bulk audits meant we were able to group sites in order that they could be delivered efficiently.

 

By using a small team of experienced auditors allied to a bespoke audit platform we achieved consistent results across the portfolio.

Despite the challenging environment and geography the program was delivered on time.
