The Building Consultancy team supports the Project division in the delivery of project management services with a focus on refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects thus utilising the skills of our Chartered Building Surveyors.
With a background in Building Surveying and Architectural Design, which is further augmented by our Architectural Division, we are able to offer a full design and traditional contract administration service for refurbishment, repair and extension projects, across all sectors.
Cost advice is provided by our Quantity Surveying Team which forms part of Evans Jones Project.
The role of project manager can be very varied but our key services may include the following:
- Development of client brief and initial feasibility study
- Feasibility cost plan
- Advice on and appointment of design team
- Development of scheme proposals
- Management of planning process
- Advice on procurement route and build contract
- Detailed design and specification
- Preparation of tender package
- Tender report and contractor appointment
- Cost control and reporting
- Quality control
- Certfication of payment and final account
- Management of handover documentation and liaison with incoming purchasers or tenants
As a multi-discplinary practice we can call on the expertise of our Planning, Architectural, and Project divisions but are equally at home working with an external design team.
For new building projects or projects following a design and build procurement route refer to the Project Consultancy Section of the site.
