Business in Gloucestershire Golf Day to support disadvantaged young people

The Society, now in its eighth year will be raising money for local charity, Young Gloucestershire.

The Business in Gloucestershire (BIG) Society is holding this year's tournament at Lilleybrook Golf Club in Cheltenham on Friday 23rd September 2016.

The event, which is kindly sponsored by C F Roberts, one of the leading providers of electrical and mechanical services, is raising money for local charity, Young Gloucestershire, which supports disadvantaged young people (aged 11-25) facing challenges in their lives.

BIG is a golf society for local businesses to regularly meet up and network whilst raising money for Gloucestershire charities. Around 150 business people have taken part in golf days which have raised funds for charities including the Pied Piper Appeal, LINC, Gloucestershire Young Carers and a 10k donation to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to fund new baby monitors.

Co-founder of BIG Ian Eggleton, Director at Cheltenham based Surveyors and Planning Consultants Evans Jones, said: "We are grateful to the team at C F Roberts, who are long term supporters of BIG. We hope this day will be even better than the last. Lilleybrook is a popular venue and usually attracts lots of familiar faces, which is always welcome. We look forward to an enjoyable day."
