The first BIG Society Day of the Year will be held at Tewkesbury Park GC on 26th March
The first Business in Gloucestershire (BIG) Golf Society day of 2010 will see us play the scenic course at Tewkesbury Park Golf & Country Club. Taking place on Friday 26th March, the day will provide those attending with an opportunity to meet some new people, enjoy a game of golf and give a little to our nominated charity, Winston’s Wish.
Timings for the day are as follows:
10am onwards – Coffee and bacon rolls
11am onwards – Teeing off
Soup and sandwiches will be served at the end.
Teams of four will be drawn prior to the day. The competition will be Stableford, off full handicap, including a ‘golden ball’. The score with the golden ball is double that ordinarily scored. The golden ball rotates around the team; player one for the first hole, player two for the second hole and so on, then back to player one for the fifth hole, etc. Lose the golden ball and a second one can be purchased at the price of £5, with the proceeds going to charity. The best two scores on each hole count to the team score, whether or not that includes the golden ball. Individual scores will not include the golden ball double.
There will be prizes for the best team score, best individual score, longest drive on the 15th hole and nearest the pin on the 5th hole.
The cost is £36 per person. The event is limited to 40 people, so if you are interested, please book now.
The day is kindly being organised by BPE Solicitors LLP, so please email Tom Billcliff at BPE Solicitors LLP to book your place.
Special thanks goes to Bruce Lunt of BPE for offering to support our day. Bruce has even offered to retrieve errant golden balls from the lake for a small donation to charity (see picture of Bruce in action at the last day).
Please do make the effort to come along and support the day.
