DDA Audit and Access Appraisal of Balham Baptist Church

Evans Jones have just completed an Access Audit of Balham Baptist Chuch in London.

The church appointed Evans Jones to audit the existing Church and Hall in order to inform the design for the proposed re-development of the site. Evans Jones were also appointed to review the design proposals for improved access and upgraded facilities within.

Ian Eggleton, Partner in charge of Access Consultancy at Evans Jones said

Marrying the older Ramsden Hall with the later Church Building presented a particular challenge. We were pleased to note that the project designers, RDJW Architects have addressed the major issues in their design which addresses access into both buildings and the accessibility of the Pensioners Hall in an inclusive manner

This augments Evans Jones experience of dealing with church buildings having previously audited sites such as St Chads Cathedral in Birmingham and St Peters Church in Gloucester.
