The 2nd Business in Gloucestershire Golf Society Day title was clinched by a team comprising our own John Everitt, Andrew James of Harrison Clark, Andrew Fraser of St James Place and Paul Roberts of the CFR Group with a great score of 135 Stableford Points over 18 holes at Puckrup Hall GC. The score was all the more remarkable as the team played the last 3 holes by candlelight having got lost in the rough on the side of the 5th whilst looking for the Golden Ball.
The individual prize was taken by Steve Faulkner of Grafx with a score of 47 points. The initial reaction was one of anger at such an act of banditry until everyone realised that Steve plays off 6 and had shot a gross 65. Congratulations to Steve on his best ever round.
The Longest Drive prize went to John Yarnold of Hayman Joyce and the Nearest the Pin to Andrew James who must have been listening out for the rustling of the flag when he hit is shot to 18th as he certainly would not have seen it.
The Golden Ball continued to cause havoc. Bruce Lunt of BPE was sighted with his trousers rolled up to his knees in the middle of a lake desperately searching for the Golden Ball to no avail (Bruce many thanks for the £5 donation as a result).
The nominated charity for the Day was the Gloucestershire Community Foundation who will be receiving a cheque for £300 so many thanks on their behalf to all who attended.
Last but certainly not least a B.I.G thank you to the event Sponsor CGT Lettings who enabled us to raise a tidy sum for charity whilst still offering a fine array of prizes from the UKKO range.
Watch this space for details of the next event, there is rumour of a B.I.G away day to Hereford or perhaps even to Birmingham for some Urban Golf. We will be in touch soon with further details.
