Partner: David Jones following rigorous training regime in readiness for gruelling 600 mile charity cycle ride.

Evans Jones support of the Cleansheet Foundation Cleansheet Foundationcharity cycle ride continues. Partner, David Jones will be riding stage 3 of the 3000 mile charity ride. Stage 3 starts in Budapest in Hungary and finishes in Skopje in Macedonia. David will be riding 100 miles a day for 6 consecutive days. David confirms "This is a gruelling challenge which has required extensive training over the past few months. I am currently riding between 120-150 miles per week, interspersed with longer rides when time permits. In July I completed the Devils Ride in Wales, this comprised 110 mile ride over some very hilly countryside. (Including a 1:4 mile long up hill stretch) This and other similar rides have provided excellent training for the event. The Cycle to Uganda Expedition project aims are:

• To help the orphaned pupils at the school sustain and support themselves.
• To create a farm to enable the students to feed themselves.
• To teach life skills to the students this can be used to support them for the long term.
• Create a self reliance on their farm and acquired skills and not Aid.
• To create links with a college specialising in agriculture in the UK and to support students from the UK to work on the farm for the next 3 years.
