Access Audit commission continues Evans Jones experience in Higher Education field

Evans Jones Access Consultancy have recently completed an Access Audit of the Arts University College Bournemouth.

The site comprises a diverse range of buildings ranging from the recently completed Enterprise Pavilion to the original accommodation dating from the 1970’s.

The University adopts a very positive approach to Accessibility and this commitment was demonstrated by Evans Jones appointment to audit all buildings even though some are less than 5 years old.

Ian Eggleton, partner in charge of Access at Evans Jones comments “The site presented an enjoyable challenge due to the mix of building styles and ages aswell as the different tenancies within the site. A particular challenge was to devise solutions to access problems without detracting from the strong design of the new buildings on site.”

This continues Evans Jones Access track record of working in the Higher Education environment having recently completed Access audits of the University of the West of England’s 5 campuses in Bristol.
