Enhanced Value

When undertaking any project we believe it is fundamental that before commencing any design work we establish a detailed understanding of the clients requirements and aspirations for the commission as well as any constraints which may impact upon the project.

Often this involves helping the client to develop their brief by presenting them with proposals and alternative approaches for their sites/buildings which they may not have considered before.

In a number of cases, by taking this approach and helping the client to refine and develop their brief we have been able to enhance the scheme in terms of the number of units, the quality of the units and ‘buildability’. In many cases we have found more cost effective and efficient ways to construct the project.

As a multi–disciplinary practice we, in conjunction with our own Planning Division, are always looking to maximise our clients’ investment potential at the earliest possible stage and have both the design and planning knowledge to achieve this.

This was the case with a recently completed project for Redcliffe Homes. The site was purchased with Outline Consent for 20 units and by revisiting the site plan and referring to the local design guide we were able to increase the number of units on the site to 24 as well as increasing some of the units from two to two and a half storeys in height.
